I made a trip to Toys/Babies R Us this weekend to pick up a baby shower gift and wound up having a mini-meltdown in a mystery aisle because Babies R Us isn't quite as organized as Target's baby section and I was hopelessly lost with the registry. So I made a quick U-turn, picked up a gift certificate instead and wandered over to the toy side to find my friend - and to play with toys of course. I know I'm too old to want a remote-controlled car but I've been obsessed with them since I played with my little cousin's toys on Christmas Day. So I wandered over in search of the cars and got distracted by this toy. So there we were, two grown folks, playing with toys in the kiddie store. This one was by far the most amusing...until I realized that it doesn't stop screeching for a loooooong time. As much as I enjoyed the toy myself, if someone gave this to my kid, I would slap them silly.
It's probably wrong that we derived some sort of sick amusement from this, but whatever. I have to get my kicks somewhere.
says one reviewer:
"This is the cutest monkey I've ever seen. The sounds that it makes are precious. Could maybe get on a parents nerves a bit, but if you're a grandparent go for it!"
That's just wrong. :o)
