Henna Party!

In preparation for my friend Lez's gorgeous wedding last weekend, her über creative bridesmaid friend, Katy, threw a henna bachelorette party. I've been dying to try Mehndi for some time now so I couldn't wait! It was fun catching up and munching on homemade samosas (and other assorted treats) while we waited for the paste to dry. The lovely ladies of Shenna Body Art hooked us up pretty nicely don't you think?

Quote of the Day

I'm loving this quote I saw on a bumper sticker the other day. I have always had a tendency to be a bit free with my opinion on things. A lot of people hate that. I stopped for a while in an effort to avoid conflict but keeping my mouth shut proved more painful than a little confrontation. Silence is so not worth the stress sometimes. Besides, confrontation doesn't scare me and people can tell what I'm thinking by the expression on my face; so why fake the funk? I still choose my battles, but I'm back to giving it straight, no matter what. Anyway, I have this video on repeat today: kanye west and daft punk live. ha. enjoy...
